I Was Caring About My Feet During Summer and Now, How Do I Take Care To Avoid Cracked Feet?

This is one question we received last week, from a customer, who wanted to have an experience in the past, neglecting the fact that if not taking care of feet (because it happens) She started having Cracked Feet. Well, first of all, you are not alone, once by the fact, around fifteen to twenty percent 15% – 20% of the population have cracked heels.

The reality of the matter is that in many cases, is a natural process, that during winter we are not using sandals, open shoes, exposing our feet, as much as in the winter, when we cover it most of the time, even at home. It’s not difficult to keep it up the excellent work from summer and to put into maintaining the feet looking and feeling good!

What Could be Causing Dry Cracked Feet?

Cracked feet becomes a dangerous thing it starts to feel pain, but most of the cases are more the discomfort of the visual, as sometimes, depending on the situation, could be embarrassing.

It is essential to understand the origins of it and more important than that is to look at it consciously as it could be medical cases, such as vitamin deficiency, elevated blood sugar rates due to diabetes, fungal infection and in this cases the best thing to do is to go for a doctor or dermatologist and check.

Other factors could be driving to rough skin under the feet, like long hot showers, forgetting to moisturize feet regularly, cold and dry temperature, inappropriate soaps. To make your life easier and start creating a routine for your feet so that you can have peace of mind, next time on barefoot and to harmonize with your sexy legs.

How to Quickly Remove Rough Skin Under The Feet

1) An essential tip is to never scrub the rough skin under the feet, when dry.
2) Prepare a Big Bow, enough to fit both feet inside
3) With warm to lukewarm water use 1/4 of a cup of vinegar as a natural antibacterial solution
4) Sit the feet for 20 minutes in the mild water solution
5) After 20 minutes with more soften and wet skin, using a scrub or pumice stone, start massaging your feet, removing the dry skin gently.
6) Dry your feet and on damp skin, apply a foot cream – usually thicker than hand cream and body lotions.
7) In a more difficult situation, you may want to use petroleum jelly or vaseline for more intense moisture.

Sometimes, depending on the situation, perform the routine three times a week, until skin removal is complete. Do not rush as you can damage your skin. When feeling the skin is removed entirely, once a week the same routine is more natural and you can do while taking a shower, other times every other week.

As the purpose of this post is to keep as many people well informed of daily skin conditions and solutions we are going to detail the whole process to keep your feet looking good, after performing the quick removal procedure above.

Exfoliate The Dry Cracked Feet

Different from other parts of the body, foot skin is thicker and more resistant compared to other skin structures in our body. It doesn’t mean we shouldn’t start with the cleansing step, but in case of the feet, we start exfoliating. Dead skin cells are on any surface of our skin. There are some specific feet exfoliant to remove dead skin on these rough skin under the feet.

Moisturizing to Keep Soften Feet Skin All Times

This is probably the main difference between having softened skin under the feet. As we are, most of the times standing, after the shower, many times we forget to moisturize, while we are using body lotion in our legs. We think that we need a different cream for feet. The truth is that we don’t, as long as the conditions under the feet are not so rough, then you have more specific lotions for extra care. Usually, foot creams are thicker than hand cream, but primarily, they are all the same.

Using the Pumice Stone For Hard Skin Under The Feet

To make your life easier, next time on your local supermarket, invest in a pumice stone to use on the hard skin under the feet. It’s not an expensive item ($3-$9 max) and essential to remove naturally and to make the maintenance and health of feet handy when taking a shower.
