The Ingredients That Make UFlawless

The Ingredients That Make UFlawless

Ingredients for us is everything. We take it very seriously. One of the secrets of our success is the commitment to using Cutting-edge actives and natural Ingredients in a Medical Grade formulation. It’s definitely the Ingredients that make UFlawless.

It’s the same as any great world class award-winning chef would say. When you use fresh, top-notch ingredients you’re halfway through to make a great dish.

The commitment of transparency to our customers is another secret for our success, so with that said we would like to share with you today, the ingredients that make UFlawless.

One quick word is that some of the ingredients we have INCI name, which is an International Nomenclature Cosmetic Ingredient. Some manufacturers use the INCI name, so it would be easy for you to identify them and also compare.

Another essential disclosure here is for the Moms to be, to consult your dermatologist or ob for guidance on which skincare products to avoid. Retinoids, for example, is a no for sure.

On the other hand, sunscreen is more important than ever; during pregnancy, your skin can become a veritable magnet for the sun.

Many other active ingredients in skin care have not been thoroughly tested on pregnant women, that’s why asking your doctor is the best thing to do.

Algae Peptides The Ingredient That Makes UFlawless

The Brand Name. Apt; INCI name: water butylene glycol, ahnfeltia concinna extract

Peptides in skin care products are quite the rage-and with a good reason. They are small molecules that can penetrate the deep layers of the skin in a Medical Grade Formulation, goes even deeper.

It has a tremendous capability to produce quick visible changes, regarding tightening and the appearance of firming.

Since we have incorporated Algae Peptides in many of our products, we have seen amazing results through the years.

Among their components is hydroxyproline, an unusual amino acid rarely found in the skin except within its collagen.

When an Algae Peptide is applied to the skin, it is picked up by binding sites on the cells of the epidermis as well as the dermis. This seems to explain the peptide’s range of activities, which include increases in skin cell turnover and collagen synthesis.

Using products with algae peptides can enhance the hydration, smoothness, elasticity, and fullness of the skin.

Alpha Hydroxy Acids that Make UFlawless

Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) is the chemical description of a group of ingredients that includes glycolic, lactic, and malic acids.

By far the most commonly used of the AHAs is Glycolic Acid. It is the smallest molecule of these acids and, therefore, it seems to penetrate best in the skin.

Lactic Acid is also effective as an exfoliant but is not as popular nowadays, especially compared to the effectiveness of Glycolic. We will give more details below about Glycolic Acid in particular.

The Antioxidants that make UFlawless

This includes alpha lipoic acid, beta-carotene, coenzyme Q10, embica, green tea, idebenone, panthenol, and topical vitamins A, C, and E.

When we say that an ingredient has “antioxidant activity” it’s the same thing to say that it protects against cellular oxidation.

This is the breakdown that occurs when molecules known as free-radicals form in the skin – which is the result of a variety of environmental insults, including sun exposure, pollution, smoking, and excessive alcohol consumption.

Free-radicals contribute to cellular aging and increase of skin cancer, due to changes in the cellular nucleus.

We neutralize free-radicals, with antioxidants which prevent premature aging and skin cancer.

Details on Antioxidants that Make UFlawless

  • Vitamin-C – is the father of the antioxidants in skincare. Very well discussed here in our daily posts, it’s significant for the synthesis of collagen on our skin.

We can’t stress enough to have them in our skincare products but also our daily diet, present in berries, oranges, lemon, peppers, and many other natural sources.

In skincare, green tea is widely used in our UFlawless products, because it has been amply proved to reduce inflammation and tumors that can result from intense UV (ultraviolet) exposure.

Natural Ingredients – Botanicals That Makes UFlawless

They are essentially plant-derived ingredients, easily recognized like chamomile, echinacea, grape seed extract, and lavender. For people without fragrance sensitivities, just the scent of botanicals can be calming and soothing.

Formulations with two or three natural ingredients can balance some harsh activities of other skincare products, from shedding dead skin cells to enhancing skin texture.

For those with sensitive skin or sensitive nose for herbs, it’s better to stay away from formulations with more than four botanicals – or particularly exotic ones.

The Favorite Ingredients that Make UFlawless

  • Chamomile – INCI Name – Matricaria chamomilla – The daisylike flower popular ingredient in skincare products. It delivers a calm effect with a gentle scent, as well as its healing properties.
  • Colhibin – INCI Name – Hydrolized Rice Peptides – A plant-derived that works by inhibiting collagenases. Meaning the enzymes that breakdown collagen. Scientific studies show that only 2% of Colhibin in a skin care formulation can produce 50% reduction in the activity of collagenases.

This way, Colhibin helps protect collagen against effects of aging, sun exposure, and other environmental stresses. Even sun exposure not significant enough to redden the skin can break down collagen.

  • Elhibin – INCI Name – Soybean, orglycine soja protein – Another plant-derived peptide, Elhibin, works similarly to Colhibin, except Elhibin’s job is to protect against the deterioration of elastin – Which like collagen, provides structure to the skin – by blocking the enzyme elastase.

Irritation caused by sn exposure, environmental stress or ordinary dryness leads to the accumulation of white blood cells in the skin, which release large amounts of elastase.

Good news is that the body continues to produce elastin. By preventing its breakdown, Elhibin has the ability to replenish the skin, reduce irritation, and increase irritation.

  • Eyeliss – INCI Name – water, glycerin, hesperidin methyl chalcone, stealreth-20, dipeptide-2, palmitoyl tetrapeptide-3. – Eyeliss is a trademark ingredient that is found in a good number of eye treatments on the market.

When applied topically, prevents the capillaries in areas of fragile skin from leaking. Meaning it can erase dark shadows or circles under the eyes.

Other substances in Eyeliss can restore elasticity and firmness to the skin, as well as draw fluid from under the eyes to eliminate bags.

  • Glycerin – It’s in almost all cleansers and other wash-off skin care products. Although it’s a fantastic water-trapping quality that normalizes water balance and restores the dead skin layer, its slightly gummy texture can leave the skin feeling sticky if it isn’t washed off.

So if you are using one of those ingredients in a skincare product, you won’t have any problem, as long as you wash it off after a certain period.

  • Glycolic Acid – May appear on labels as ammonium or sodium glycolate – It’s one of the most popular anti-aging ingredients nowadays due to its high effectiveness.

It has been proven, by many scientific studies, to be a very powerful skin rejuvenator that begins to exfoliate almost immediately upon application.

Many people think that as it is an exfoliant and as such, will make your skin thinner, but the reality of the matter it’s nothing to worry about. As long as the usage is done with caution.

Basically what glycolic acid does is removing the dead skin cells of the surface promoting instant glow. The overtime usage will manufacture new collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid as well.

The purity level of the glycolic really make the difference here, but be careful, though. Many OTC (Over The Counter Products) claim 50% sometimes 70% concentration level, but in reality, they are so diluted on other chemicals, that in reality, they are only the same as 2%.

Check labels, where the Glycolic Acid comes. To assure the purest glycolic on the product, please check if it comes at the beginning of the ingredient description.

  • Hyaluronic Acid – May appear on labels as sodium hyalurmate. – This is a component that happens naturally in the skin.

We can also find it in skincare products as a humectant, capable of holding water, up to 1000 times its weight in water.

Pretty much like a sponge, promoting the plumping look of the skin.

Many people prefer using hyaluronic acid instead for its moisturizing properties, than glycolic. Then they avoid the irritation part.

But to lessen the fine lines on the skin, glycolic would be the best alternative.

Hydroquinone – Famous chemical component used in some of our skin care products. Prevent skin cells from making new pigment.

It’s a very effective bleaching ingredient.

Lipids – Including ceramides, glycolipids, and sphingolipids

Lipids are the natural protective layer of fats that cover a newborn’s skin. We lose this layer over time, for a variety of reasons.

For example, all methods of exfoliation, which accelerate the removal of the stratum corneum, the dead skin-cell layer, strip away lipids, as well.

They also can become depleted by sun exposure or a dry environment, including the dryness promoted by dehumidifier on air conditioning.

Check our X3 Age-Defy PM Serum – Made with 0.5% Pure Retinol but also loaded with Glycolipids to compensate any dryness risk the retinol may bring. It delivers amazing results.

When customers complain about the dryness of the skin, due to the usage of certain substances, including retinoids, that means that the lipids are gone and needs a replacement.

Panthenol – Derived from Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid) – which is precisely what is converted to when applied to the skin. It also works as a humectant, trapping water to smooth the skin surface. It is found in many moisturizers.

Peptides – Are chain of amino acids. Cosmetics chemists differentiate between peptides that are beneficial to the skin and those who are not.

When a peptide is proven in a laboratory testing to improve the skin in some way, it is classified as an active peptide.

Among these, we have Algae peptides, Colhibin, Elhibin, Eyeliss, and Neuro-Peptides.

In a dozen scientific studies, more than 30% of people who used peptides saw an immediate improvement in their skin, while another 5% saw improvement within several hours.

And more than 70% reported tighter, firmer skin within two weeks.

Retinoids – There are many prescription names for Retinol, which is the non-prescription name. It is an ingredient in skincare products marketed under many different brand names

The prescription names, best known of the retinoids, have been around since 1962.

It was the first product to merit the classification truly. By bridging the gap between cosmetic and pharmaceutical/medical.

Originally developed as a topical treatment for acne, it later was found to reduce wrinkles, too.

More details about Retinoids in our formulations, you can access here…

Salicylic Acid – A beta hydroxy acid, or BHA, salicylic acid first appeared in skincare, in acne treatments, for being a good pore cleanser.

It also happens to be an effective exfoliant.

Usually, salicylic acid is less irritating and better tolerated than glycolic acid. On the other hand, it isn’t as effective for reducing facial lines and grooves.

Zinc Oxide – It’s the most popular ingredient for sun protection for many years. It’s undoubtedly one of the components to check on a label of the sunscreen you’re about to put on your skin.

Zinc Oxide it’s a potent remedy for irritating red skin in baby diapers rash. The combination of Zinc Oxide and Titanium Oxide makes them a must-have in good sunscreen.

Well, it’s a long list for sure, but it’s considered the best ingredients for our skin, and if it were not for them, we would be not here and making our dear customers happy and looking great.

We are very proud of the cutting-edge actives and natural ingredients in the Medical Grade Formulation, to match our skin, delivering real results.

God Bless Us All!
