Why my skincare is not working

Why my skincare is not working?

There’s a moment in life where it could seem everything is against us! And probably you felt that way, at least once… and if you felt the same about your skincare not working, you’re not alone!

We receive this kind of email, once in a while, because many people heard about us, or saw some incredible results we have with many people and they are wondering what’s wrong?

The good news is that we understand what happens, as we’ve seen many sharing the same situation, and now, we’ve decided to help you out with some good information, so you can do yourself a self-check, and come to your own solution.

Having a Skincare Routine is essential for flawless skin…

Yes, that’s right we figured out that 8 in 10 American women don’t have a routine in place. They have products, however, they are not using them in the right sequence.

So if you want your skincare routine to work, you need to have the basics: Cleansing, Treating, and Moisturizing.

Here’s what happens in each step of the process.

  • Cleansing – Most dermatologists agree that it’s the most important step in any skincare routine. Think about it this way. If you want to drink water, don’t you drink from a clean glass?

If you want to enjoy all the benefits of the active ingredients on your skin, absorbing as much as possible, start removing the gunk from the day.

Remove all the debris, gunk, sebum, makeup, accumulated through the day and night, so the skin can absorb the good stuff the minute your start treating your skin.

You should be cleansing your skin at least twice a day. Morning and night.

In the morning the skin spent the night in the pillow, there is probably some residue from your night cream or your hair products.

Bad news for those who don’t change their pillow sheets often or sleeps with makeup…

All the gunk is transferred to the pillow, which goes to your face, leading to clogged pores and the bottom line could be breakouts.

Why cleansing is so important?

If you’re serious about having a healthier look, please consider using a good cleanser. Could be one of the reasons your skincare routine is not working.

A good cleanser is NOT a soap. A good cleanser has natural ingredients, that deliver properties to your skin, without irritation, or drying out your skin.

To list amazing cleansers, you can check the X3 Chamomile Balancing Cleanser and the X9 Advanced Exfoliating Cleanser.

The X3 Chamomile Balancing Cleanser has in its medical-grade formula, 99.9% purity levels of chamomile, ginger, marine algae firming peptides.

That means deep cleansing, without drying out the skin.

On the same note, let’s take the X9 Advanced Exfoliating Cleanser, ideal for removing dead skin cells, which may sit on the skin, if not removed. Made with 2% Salicylic Acid at low pH and Extra Virgin Coconut Oil.

That means exfoliation without irritation and dryness, usually felt with some conventional cleansers.

  • Treatment Serum – Here’s where the secret resides. Whatever your skin goal is, here’s where you want to dedicate some time to research, try samples, read more about it.

Usually the most expensive step of the skincare routine. All the good stuff comes into place. The molecules are smaller so they can penetrate the layers of the skin and do their job.

Usually loaded with Antioxidants, Vitamins, Minerals, Peptides, and so on.

This is when your skin gets hydrated. That means that skin cells get soaked with water.

Delivering the nutrients necessary to nourish youthful skin cells, naturally produced in the deep layers of the skin.

Youthful skin cells when nourished properly, flourish to the surface between 7-14 days.

We’re constantly renewing our skin. Studies show that every 4 weeks (approximately) we have an entire “batch” of new skin.

So why not have them coming fresh and clean? That means enjoying a youthful lifted appearance.

That’s why is so important to pay attention to the active ingredients to nourish your skin.

One good example is the X3 Revitalizing Stem-Cells Serum. Made with Lilac Stem-Cells, Medical-Grade Vitamin-C, and a complex of Marine Peptides.

This combination proved in clinical testing with people, to reactivate 14 genes responsible for firming, evening skin tone and reducing drastically the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles.

  • Moisturizing – Here’s another secret, this step is also essential for flawless skin, because you’re trapping the water, or hydration, into skin cells. That means enhancing the benefits of the treatment serum for longer.

Many people misunderstand this step, and unfortunately, end up frustrated with the product.

Nobody wants to feel like wasting money on something that doesn’t work.

Here’s an important lesson, that will make your life easier when picking your next skincare routine.

Treatment Serum is for hydrating the skin, while a moisturizer will seal the skin.

That’s why is not ideal to cleanse the skin and put on a moisturizer straight. The molecules of moisturizers are larger and with that unable to pass through the layers of the skin.

Also, you can hear that someone is using a moisturizer and still not hydrated!

Pretty odd, but true!

So if you want to enjoy the benefits of healthy skin, adopt a skincare routine.

One of the best moisturizers in the market is the X3 Firming Peptide Cream. Loaded with cutting-edge antioxidants, Lipochroman and Chromabright.

Successfully introduced to this moisturizer delivering results in less time when compared to other moisturizers in the market.

Purity Levels in skincare is King!

If you have a skincare routine already in place, the issue might be the purity levels on the products you’re using.

You probably know by now that there’s a reason you have some skincare lines that you can pay less than a bottle of water, believing you’re taking care of your skin.

Sorry to let you down on this, but if that is the case, we’re here to tell you. It’s better for you to just use a good cleanser on your skin than wasting money on products that will just leave a good scent on your skin.

Pure ingredients deliver quick and visible results

The gap between results and tryouts on skincare lays in the quality of products you’re putting on your skin.

On the other hand, when you get something inexpensive, usually what happens is that you’ll use it for a short time, and then, you have to go shop all over again.

Knowing your skin type can help you understand why your skincare routine is not working

Not having a skincare routine is not good for the skin, and using the wrong products for your skin is also another reason why you can have a skincare routine and still not get results.

Each of us is a unique individual, which means a different skin biome, or skin environment.

A proper example is for example using a Salicylic Acid product that is formulated for acne-prone skin and using it on dry skin.

It’s a recipe for disaster, irritation, and redness, besides flakiness.

You can have dry skin, while your neighbor has oily skin. You can have dehydrated skin and still have oily skin. We discussed the differences between dehydrated skin and dry-skin.

So it’s essential to know what is your skin type, to have the right skincare routine for you.

Adding more steps into your skincare routine doesn’t mean necessarily better results.

There’s an urge from the skincare industry to make you introduce more products to your skincare routine.

Be careful!

Many times it’s just another way to tell that the products you’re using are not enough.

As we saw earlier, the skin needs only 3 steps: Cleansing, Treating, and Moisturizing.

If there are any more steps to add, they will be complimentary such as exfoliation and sunscreen.

That would be it.

So let’s talk about Exfoliation and Sunscreen.

Both are very important, however, they are subtle so that requires some attention.

  • Exfoliation – The process of removing dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. Could be mechanical – through a granular substance, for example, beads, sugar, seeds. Or chemical, such as glycolic acid or salicylic acid.

Accelerating the process of removing dead skin cells could be a game-changer for many people.

Over exfoliating, the skin is a big issue people feel, when thinking that exfoliating is the reason why their skincare routine is not working. Over exfoliating, removes skin’s natural barrier, compromising the healthy environment, leading to oily skin.

  • Sunscreen – Photodamaging is something many people regret. We didn’t know not long ago the full spectrum of damages that the sun can put on your skin. But to have a grasp, the sun is in the Top 3 premature factors.

That means sunspots, fine lines, and deep wrinkles are the most common photodamaging issues to name the most important.

We should be using a sunscreen every day, even on cloudy days.

If you want to understand why your skincare routine is not working, don’t go to bed as soon as you have your skincare routine.

The products need to sit, more importantly, be completely absorbed.

Remember when we talked about the treatment serum step as the second step?

So, here’s what we need to pay attention to. Ideally, we should wait for one hour. Best of the best at least 2 hours if we want to get the most out of the products.

Active ingredients, after absorbed has a peak performance of 2 hours after the application.

That means that if you go to bed right after applying the products to your skin, there’s a chance, when you’re rubbing your face on the pillow, a chunk could be there.

Your lifestyle is key to have a youthful-looking skin

This is the part that actually is 50% of your skincare routine. That means that if someone spends a fortune on expensive products, but this same person is not paying attention to the basics in regards to lifestyle, 50% of the results are going through the drain.

However, we all have to give the best conditions so our bodies can grow, renew cells, heal. In other words to reestablish balance.

To have amazingly good looking skin, we have to take care of our health.

Or if you will, if you take care of your health, naturally you’re going to enjoy good looking skin.

And here we are talking about 4 basic things: Water, Food, Move your body and rest.

  • Drink plenty of water – Our bodies are made up to 60% of water. That means that if there’s no water enough in the system, there’s unbalance. In skin terms that means they are dehydrated, mushy, and that is not good for the appearance.
  • Healthy eating – It’s not difficult. It’s a matter of habits to get fruits, veggies, non-processed foods. Actually processed foods are responsible for a broad range of inflammation in the body, which can easily reflect on the skin.
  • Move the body – Every time we move our body, it means we are stimulating hormones to run in our bodies, which unfolds numerous benefits for the body, and consequently to the skin.

As you can see, it’s not an isolated action that will make your skin look healthy and refreshed.

It’s a combination of 50% a proper skincare routine, and the other half, related to your lifestyle.
