What to Know About Ultherapy

Everything We Need To Know About Ultherapy So We Could Decide What To Do?

Ultherapy is a non-invasive therapeutic technique, that uses ultrasonic waves to stimulate tissues, in our case here, deep layers of the skin.

It’s a recent procedure, introduced to the skincare industry, once it reaches deep layers, including muscles. We learned in previous posts about the seven layers of the skin, and muscles and bones are part of the very internal skin structure.

They sustain the outermost layers of the skin. When we have toned firm muscles, we have tight skin on the outside.

Monica, who is a good friend of mine, from high school, met me at a local farmers market and she is the kind of woman, like many of us, likes to be in the know of everything related to skincare. So she wanted my opinion on that.

It was an excellent opportunity to catch up with her regarding how we are taking care of our health and how making small decisions eating healthy, help us all to have better skin.

How Does Ultherapy Work?

The heat from ultrasonic waves, from ultherapy, stimulates the underneath tissues of the skin, where collagen is produced.

It’s applied with an instrument, that in touch with the skin, points the ultrasound energy, creating the ideal temperature to support collagen production.

The instrument can calibrate different waves, temperatures, impacting the skin and muscles in different depths, working directly on superficial wrinkles.

How Quickly Does Ultherapy Work?

This is an exciting thing and advantage of Ultherapy. As the deep layers of the skin receive the stimuli, basically it’s supposed to happen as soon as the session ends.

It will depend on how the body responds regarding producing new collagen.

Another interesting thing to point out is that there’s no downtime when you compare to other therapies, like facelift, micro needling, for example.

Usually these kinds of treatment, it’s necessary to wait ten days, for a second session, or even a third one.

The results on ultherapy, usually happen within a few days.

How Long Do The Effects of Ultherapy Last?

All bodies are different, as such, the long-lasting results may vary for each one of us. It could take three to nine (3-9) months.

Of course, we want the results to last as long as possible, right? Then, there are some things we can work on to take the best out of it.

It’s keeping the body healthy from the inside, nourishing the skin from inside out. Let’s see the basics that we can do on a daily basis.

  • Drink Plenty of Water – eight to twelve (8-12) glasses of water every day.
  • Eating Healthy – Plenty of fruits and vegetables, which nourishes our body with minerals, vitamins, antioxidants that promote healthy skin growth. As valuable information, for example. Vitamin-C is a powerful antioxidant, found on oranges, berries, some dark green veggies, that help to synthesize collagen, necessary for the skin structure.
  • Have a skin care routine with cutting-edge actives and natural ingredients in a Medical Grade Formulation. Which the purity levels and concentration, can penetrate in the deep layers of the skin.
  • Workout – At least 30 minutes a day. Any activity that makes us sweat. Making the heartbeat pulse more intensively.
  • Sleep Well – Have a routine at night that help us to relax and reach deep stages of sleep completely. These stages help the body to release essential hormones for complete skin recovery.

Are There Any Side Effects For Ultherapy?

We could say soft side effects if you will. Like some redness, little sore, bruise and numbness are reported, but not relevant, when we compare to micro needling, laser or facelift.

Within a couple of days or so, everything is back to normal again, and the results are going to show off soon.

Usually, the areas that ultherapy is applied are areas that don’t require any special attention. Like eyebrows, neck, décolletage area, under the chin, and face.

Can Uultherapy Damage The Skin?

Even though Ultherapy is an FDA-cleared procedure, any procedure that your planning to go through needs research. A proper conversation with a doctor or dermatologist is the best thing and opinion that you can take.

Sometimes, could be frustrating, when deep research reveals that there were some unsuccessful cases, that caused some permanent issues. But the same happens to any other procedure. Some facelifts (also FDA-Cleared) could not reveal the results we are expecting as well.

Then, What Would Be The Best Thing To Do?

Go through the procedure anyway, or go to some alternatives like using Cutting-Edge Actives and Natural Ingredients in a Medical Formulation, that guarantee results?

Looking Carefully To The Pros and Cons of Ultherapy, This Is What Comes Out

Pros

  • Cost – Advantageous when compared to Facelift – $2,000 to 4,000 depending on the area to proceed. Facelift stars at $5,000

  • Have a skin care routine with cutting-edge actives and natural ingredients in a Medical Grade Formulation. Which the purity levels and concentration, can penetrate in the deep layers of the skin.
