Deadliest Mistakes Bad For The Skin, We Don’t Even Know

Once in a while, we can be getting into deadliest mistakes, which is bad for the skin, and many times, we don’t even know.

The good news is that we selected the most common mistakes that people do that could help you improve the appearance of your skin, just with little tweaks here and there.

Call It Quits To Early Just After Seeing Good Results On Skin

This is one of the common mistakes we all do once in a while that is bad for the skin. Unfortunately, it happens especially when we are treating age spots and other skin discolorations.

But this one is a little bit like quitting an antibiotics treatment as soon as starting to feel better. Neither is a good idea.

Since the sun exposure that caused the dark spots most likely occurred decades ago, the skin permanently has been programmed to start making new areas once the treatment stops. And it will believe me.

The skin is an organ, just like any other in the body, and needs nutrients to keep it healthy.

For healthy skin, you should be nourishing youthful skin cells, which are produced naturally in the deep layers of the skin.

Once they start getting reached, they begin producing plenty of youthful skin cells, which take from 7 to 14 days to flourish to the surface.

So, to check if a product is right or not, use it for seven days, if you start seeing results, you picked the good one.

Still in doubt, what to pick for a youthful, lifted appearance?

Check our social media posts, reviews, and before & after pictures from our clinical testings.

Then, when you start seeing the results, after seven days, you believe the job is done… No, that’s just the beginning of the process.

After 8-12 weeks, then you can put yourself in a maintenance mode. With the right products, you’ll feel getting better skin, not breaking a sweat!

Exfoliating the Skin Too Much is bad for the skin.

When any redness or irritation occurs after exfoliating, stop the use immediately until the symptoms are gone.

Exfoliating too much the skin, it’s another deadliest mistake, bad for the skin.

Let’s say that while using an exfoliating cream, the skin beneath the eyes become red and irritated. Stop applying the cream in the area until the skin clears up.

Then resume using an exfoliating cream, but only in sparing amounts and just every third night for a week. If the skin seems to tolerate this, step up to every other night, and be sure to keep monitoring for an adverse reaction. Plenty of exfoliants are quite useful when used just several times a week.

When we exfoliate the skin too much, we actually are eliminating a lot of the natural oil of the skin. This natural oil, known as sebum, is a natural barrier that protects the skin from drying out.

And when we remove this natural barrier, we are “saying” to the skin that we need more sebum to protect. So then the skin will be producing more and more sebum.

Excessive sebum is an issue, as it might trigger acne.

Putting All Expectations On The Skincare Products

We sometimes put all the effort into the skincare products and forget that other factors influence our skin.

I’ll point out the three complement pillars for beautiful skin briefly:

  • Drinking-Water – We need water for all the cells of the body to be in good shape. Hydrated and plump. Eight to twelve (8-12) glasses of water a day is the amount of water the body needs to perform proper metabolism on the cells, eliminate toxins and hydrate cells, including the skin.
  • Eating Healthy – Eating daily plenty of fruits and vegetables can really reflect great results on the skin. The fibers, amino acids, and a variety of minerals and vitamins on eating clean bring incredible benefits. We are what we eat. Our body is a perfect machine. When we put the right fuel in it, the performance is impressive in all aspects, including our skin.
  • Sleeping – We need six to eight hours of sleep every night to allow the body to be able to restore cells and balance hormones. Hormones play a vital role in our body. Hormones are messengers in our bodies, controlling many activities in our bodies. One of them precisely for the skin tissue is promoting skin cell turnover.

  • Sunscreen – Sun is the number one factor of premature aging, and when we neglect protection for the skin, oxidative stress cells take over with free-radicals, accelerating the aging process.

Not Reading The Labels on Skincare Products

Every skincare product has two labels.

  • Front Label – Where the brand name, product name, and something we call the action name, which reveals what the manufacturer says the product does.
  • Black Label – Where the directions as well as the ingredients.

When a skincare product comes in a box, the black label (directions and ingredients) are printed on the box.

Now, imagine that you buy the product and then as soon as you start using the product, what usually you do with the box?

Exactly, you throw it away, then when you read something interesting about an active and ingredient, and you want to check the list of ingredients… no way to check.

Not sure why this happens, but as we believe that you get what you pay for, many Over The Counter (OTC) products come with a box.

Coincidence or not, they may have a list of the right ingredients. Still, when it’s time to check more info, the actives are diluted in water, fragrance, and many other chemicals turning the product into a mild formulation…

Then read what the main ingredients that are really good for the skin are…

Please Don’t Forget The Cleansing Step.

Last but not least. The Cleansing step is one of the most critical steps in a skincare routine. Sounds obvious, but when asked people, especially in a hurry, it’s surprising how many people apply creams, serums on the face without any preparation.

If we want to take the best from the products we are investing time and money to get results, we better pay attention to the cleansing.

To give a better perspective, pollution is in the list of the top 3 premature aging factors. Dust and debris leave particles on the skin that easily can clog pores, causing a series of skin issues.

Another relevant fact is that even when we put some water in the face, there are still particles of debris encrusted on pores.

Many people think that cleanser is just pure soap., and it’s not.

Soaps have chemicals to remove oil from the skin, which is not that good, as it is a natural barrier to protect the skin.

Rarely soaps remove completely incrusted pollution particles from the skin, and another deadliest mistake, bad for the skin.

That’s why we need more than a Soap. Let me give you another close example. The X3 Chamomile Balancing Cleanser

We have three main ingredients that help us understand what we are saying.

  • Hydrolyzed Algin – A pollutant absorber component, up to 30x smaller than our pores. This helps to clean even the most encrusted particles on the skin.
  • Marine Peptides – Based on marine algae, which contain a combination of amino acids and other actives that boost collagen, and hydrate skin cells. And in a cleanser is an essential ingredient, once it doesn’t allow the skin to dry out.
  • Chamomile and Ginger essential oils which have excellent antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic properties.

In other words, it’s a cleanser strong enough to clean encrusted pollution from the skin and smooth in a way that can be used even in the most sensitive skin.

We strongly recommend 3 steps. It’s all you need for healthy skin.

  2. Treatment Serum – Soak the skin with the actives that will do the job on your skin (brightening, softening, lessening lines & wrinkles.
